Last August of 2015 Open Source Matters (OSM) published a request for proposal for companies to submit offers to provide video training for Joomla websites. The video training is to be provided free to anyone that wishes to learn how to use Joomla.
The winner of the RFP is OSTraining but the real winners are the hundreds of thousands of people who use Joomla every day for their websites.
Preparations are well under way for the launch of the site and it should be live near the end of May 2016.
Joomla! Truisms are valuable things related Joomla! that I have found to be true. Some of these I learned from others along the way and a few I picked up from the school of hard knocks. Learning from experience is not aways pleasant especially when the thing you are trying to solve is urgent and evasive. I'm not certain how many of my hours were spent searching for the answers to some of these problems but it was significant.
These truisms are not widely known but they should be. Learn about them and they will keep you anchored and from drifting into problems later.
I get to sound off about all my personal opinions on Joomla in this blog. I also let you have your say. But for this blog entry let's turn it around and make it all about YOUR Joomla! opinion.
On Saturday, March 14, 2015 I will be doing a presentation called "Joomla Entanglement - How to Leverage Your Influence” at JoomlaDay Boston in Boston, Massachusetts. I’m inviting the people in my session to give their opinion about what Joomla! should be doing different or how the Joomla! project should be run.
Here's a question to help get you started...
